Spain has so many beautiful villages and towns ranging from little medieval villages where you will be whisked back in time to villages perched in the mountains or looking out over shimmering blue seas.
Spain is a beautiful country steeped in history. It has more UNESCO World Heritage sites than any other country in the World apart from Italy. Italy has 44 sites and Spain has 41. It was conquered by the Moors who have left Spain with a fine Moorish architectural legacy and after the Moors were defeated it went on to amass enormous wealth during its conquest of the New World and has spent a lot of money building beautiful Cathedrals and palaces.
