Chorizo Bites

Chorizo Bites are quick and easy to make. They can be prepared in advance and popped into the oven just before or during your party.

Ingredients

Serves 8

1 roll of ready made puff pastry (225g)

100g chorizo sausage, chopped

50g grated cheese (cheddar, gruyere, cantal are all suitable)

drop milk

1 tsp paprika

 

Method

Cut out around 16 rounds of pastry using a pastry cutter.

Chop the chorizo and mix with the grated cheese.

Put a little of the cheese and chorizo mix into the centre of each pastry round.

Fold the pastry over the cheese and chorizo mix and pinch the edges together.

Put onto a greased baking tray and glaze with the milk and sprinkle with paprika.

Cook in a pre-heated oven, 220°C/450°F/gas 7 for about 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven, sprinkle with a little more paprika and serve the chorizo puffs warm.
