Alicante Airport is one of the busiest in Spain and is the main airport on the Costa Blanca. Most of the traffic at Alicante airport is international with people arriving for holidays in Benidorm, Torrevieja and the resorts of the Costa Blanca.
Once you have gone through check in there are shops and cafes, and plenty of seating areas. There are some facilities available before check in as well such as a coffee shop and a pharmacy and money changing facilities.
Alicante Airport Car Hire

Alicante Airport Car Parking
The short term car park at Alicante has room for about 1900 cars.
For longer stays there are various companies in the vicinity of the airport who provide a long term parking service. Some of them with shuttle bus facilities.
Alicante Airport Buses
To go from the airport to Alicante city by bus takes about 40 minutes as it is not a dedicated airport bus and stops regularly on the way to the city. There is a bus every 45 minutes or so and it is cheap, less than 2 Euros. There is a direct bus to Benidorm which leaves about once an hour. The ticket costs less than 20 Euros for a return trip.
Buses leave the airport for many other destinations.
Alicante Shuttle Bus Service
The shuttle bus stops at the main resorts and hotels close to the airport. This is a convenient and reasonably priced service.
Alicante Airport Trains
There isn't a train station at Alicante Airport. If you need a train you will need to make your way to Alicante city.
Alicante Airport Taxis
Taxis are also available. Note that taxis can only take four people and queues can be long. The taxi rank is just outside the arrivals terminal. It should cost around 15 Euros for a taxi to Alicante city centre (2008/2009).
